10 Reasons Why People Love to Get Scared
Unsurprisingly, our love for the spooks has long been a passed tradition enjoyed by many. Whether it be in the early forms of jump scares by hiding in cabinets waiting for an unsuspecting victim, or in the form of ghost stories; either in passed by from either spoken or literature. The Graveyard Poets are one of the first ever to write about cobwebs and ghouls and things that go bump in the night. And they have significantly paved the way for gothic novelists such as Edgar Allan Poe to continue on the practice towards the modern era of The Shining, Nightmare on Elm Street, and to more obscure titles such as Unfriended, The Final Destination Series, and of course, who can forget The Human Centipede and its two sequels?
But why do we get scared? What’s the reason behind us loving the way our hair in necks stand up or being scared out of our wits? Apart from building relationships and improving group unity, here are the top 10 reasons why people love to get scared!
