3. IS IT PARTLY CHEMICAL/DIET-INDUCED?

Could your dissociation have a chemical cause or be due to your diet? In many cases, DPD is described as looking at the world in a drunken-like state, so perhaps cutting down on alcohol could be helpful if consumption is high. Also, as DPD and anxiety have high comorbidity (sometimes, in fact, dissociation is a symptom of anxiety), it would also make sense to cut down on anxiety-enhancing stimulants such as caffeine. Finally, making small changes to diet, like drinking more water or eating less junk food could make a massive difference. An excess of unhealthy foods and drinks often produce a sense of sluggishness that does nothing to help the inability to focus that sometimes accompanies DPD.
