2. Cortard’s Syndrome – The Walking Dead

Cortard’s Syndrome, otherwise known as the Cortard Delusion, gives a whole new meaning to feeling ‘like death’. This rare mental illness causes the sufferer to believe that they no longer have a body and are dead. The core symptoms of Cortard’s syndrome always show an obsession with guilt, despair, and death. Various case studies have been carried out on patients with CS and it appears that the cause can be anything from severe brain damage to major depression.
