7 Signs Things are Getting Better

Life has its twist and turns. Somewhere along the way, you turn in a direction that makes it difficult to see anything a shred of light or positivity. These moments often leave you feeling anxious, stuck, or frustrated. Difficult moments opaque your view and make you miss out on the good things in life.

But, here are some positive signs that your life is turning around for the better.

  • Your bills are getting paid.

Financial worries can drag you down and bring stress to your life. These emotions can cause strain to your relationships. But, being able to take care of your financial worries instills a sense of self-confidence in you. It also feels pretty good.

  • You find inner strength.

Difficult times have a way of making you feel like you are drowning. These moments bring difficult emotions, which can cause depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other emotional stresses. However, as time goes, you find yourself becoming stronger.

  • You are more productive.

Along the process of emotional healing, you may experience more bursts of energy. Your body is no longer in a fight or flight mode, so you may feel less tired and overwhelmed. This extra energy manifests itself in productivity.

  • You have a new life plan

Difficult moments in your life can rewrite your present and sometimes your future.

In life, there comes a point where you end up doing things out of habit. Everything becomes routine, and you lose your focus, your intention. However, difficult moments force us to rethink.

Perhaps you have always wanted to do something, but it was never a good time. However, in these moments, you may notice yourself thinking about forging ahead with your plans. So, do it! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

  • You are are opening up more.

In hardship, we all tend to isolate ourselves-feeling like no one understands what we are going through. As a result of a difficult time, others might notice a change in your personality. You may become cynical, glib, and bitter. Consequently, people may drop out of your social circle or you may drop them.

But, don’t be discouraged. There will be a few who stick around. Cherish them.

While losing friends is painful, it is a necessary process. It helps you realize which relationships are worth nurturing. As the light at the end of the tunnel becomes clearer, you will find yourself opening up to others and making new friends.

  • You are learning.

You may find yourself rediscovering curiosity. You start to notice things and ask questions about them. These questions are a sign that you are motivated to learn and do things, something that usually disappears when you are just trying to survive.

As your curiosity develops, you may find yourself wanting to learn. Keep learning. You never know where it will take you.

  • You start investing in your health.

When facing challenging moments in life, it is easy to forget to take care of yourself. You may skip a few meals, lose sleep, and perhaps forget to do other things that benefit your well-being. These occasional moments of forgetfulness are a byproduct of emotional distress, but they can devolve into absolute self-negligence which can impact your self-esteem and well-being.

However, when things are getting better, you begin to take care of yourself more. You no longer are in survival mode, so you take time to sleep, eat, rest, and workout. As a result, you feel better about yourself and feel more confident.

No one likes hardship. They aren’t enjoyable and seemingly pointless. But, hardships test our character. They reveal to others and ourselves who we are and what we are capable of. They may make life harder to enjoy, but there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
