I have been a fan of the Psych2Go channel for many years before applying. As someone who has dealt with mental health issues, I loved the daily reminders that Psych2Go videos provided. I loved the casual but sincere tone of Psych2Go. As a Psych2Go writer, I want to encourage Psych2Go viewers to love themselves, value self-improvement and self-love, and be their biggest advocate. I want to encourage a world where people can openly share their positive and negative feelings without fear. We are all entitled to our feelings. We shouldn’t be afraid to express ourselves. I, too, am working to love myself. I have spent many years practicing negative self-talk, and I want to end this cycle of self-sabotage. I want to work toward a better version of myself that will take good and bad days head-on. I love to journal my thoughts and reach out to family and friends when I am feeling lonely or sad to maintain my mental and emotional wellness. Journaling helps me self-reflect, and reaching out to family and friends keeps me grounded.

I joined Psych2Go because I wanted to spread education and understanding about the autism spectrum, which was a neglected and misunderstood topic. What I hope to contribute to the Psych2Go community through my voice is my own perspective about the autism spectrum and connecting to the others out there. Generally, the goal I have for the world is to make the world a better place than if I had not existed, which I think I achieve every time a script of mine is produced. For Psych2Go, I’m working on a Guinness World Record attempt with a special team, which will make a name for Psych2Go and spread our voice far to educate even more people about mental health and psychology. I am engaged with other areas of my life that also give me a creative outlet, engage with my autistic special interests and offer an opportunity to improve the world. As a vexillologist (flag expert), I was an expert advisor for the new state flags of Utah and Minnesota, and I’m currently collaborating with the governments of Maine and Illinois on their new state flags. My nightly wellbeing activity is to ask myself what is the best thing that happened that day, and dwell on that as I fall asleep.

I greatly respect what Psych2Go does. Psych2Go gave me a chance to add my voice to work that was very important to me. When I received therapy and found out that a lot of my issues came from my OCD, I felt a wave of relief. I finally had a name for what I was experiencing, which made it easier to handle. I know Psych2Go can’t replace therapy, but if someone feels a little bit of relief because of something I wrote, that would mean the world to me. If I could eliminate stress from the world, I would. Instead, I would like to remind everyone of how capable they are and that they all have strengths. I think in doing so, some people might stress a little less. That is still a huge win to me. I am writing a series of horror novels for kids. Each entry is about an issue they might face in their lives. I think younger people are put in a difficult place where everything can be so overwhelming and they don’t even have a grasp on the rules yet. So I want my books to remind them that as confusing and scary as things are they can overcome it. I am also going to propose to my girlfriend soon. I exercise every day. Even if it is only a little bit, as long as I have moved my body, got my heart pumping and worked up a sweat. It helps me feel mentally clear and reduces stress.

I started working with Psych2Go because I love their mission to spread mental health awareness through creative, insightful, and highly empowering videos. What I hope to contribute to the Psych2Go community through my voice is a great deal of authenticity and empathy. I want people to feel seen and heard whenever they watch our videos and spark conversations that educate, uplift, and inspire others to prioritize their mental health and take back control of their lives. Honestly, my big goal is to create a world where everyone with mental health-related problems gets the help and support they need—but let’s be real, that’s a big ask, right! Since I can’t magically fix everything, I just hope to make a difference one person at a time. If we can encourage more open conversations and create more supportive spaces, that means the world. Right now, I’m focusing on balancing my work and personal life. I really don’t like burnout—I’ve had my fair share, and that’s enough for me! So, I’m making more time to relax and recharge, so I can keep my own mental health in check while helping others.
I take 6 km walks three times a week, usually as early as 5:30 AM. I drink a lot of water, and I rarely fall sick; I think I owe that to my water therapy. I also try my best to maintain my emotional health by not holding on to negative emotions like anger and unforgiveness. I meditate for at least 30 minutes before sleeping with deep-soaking meditation, and I prioritize quality sleep by playing soothing background sounds. It works for me!

I was really interested in writing about Psychology topics that could resonate with the general public. I want people to feel understood. I want them to learn things about themselves that will empower them to embrace their unique identities and views. I’d love to see a world where empathy, kindness, compassion, and individuality are a priority. If we could create a culture guided by these values instead of capitalism, individualism, and social conformity, I believe we’d find better solutions to our biggest challenges—whether that’s mental health, social justice, or the environment.
Getting my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Working to be a better human being and be less attached to life and more involved. The habits I do daily to ensure I maintain my wellness are daydreaming, making coffee, and talking to friends.

I was watching a Psych2Go video and checked the description box for resources, and that’s when I saw that P2G was hiring writers. Since I love writing and studying psychology, I decided to apply. I hope that by writing scripts for Psych2Go I can help all those suffering from mental health issues feel less alone. There’s still so much stigma regarding mental illnesses and mental health in general, and I hope that I can deliver understanding and comfort to those who struggle. I also wish to make psychology as a science closer to the general public. Researching and writing scripts made me learn so much throughout the years, and I hope that I can contribute to spreading that knowledge to our audience. My goal for the world is to help others through my work. I want to be the one who offers compassion and understanding to anyone. I want to be a safe space for others to embrace their virtues, gently address their flaws, and find and accept their true selves.
I am currently working towards my Master’s degree in Psychology. I have one more year left and then I’ll be starting an internship – either in education or in a social work setting. I also enrolled in an Italian course and hope to one day become fluent. To ensure my wellness, I make sure to stay hydrated, always carrying my water bottle or making myself a nice cup of tea.
