Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can I apply if I am under 18?

Yes, you can.

  1. Is this a part time or full time position?

You are working as a freelancer or independent contractor on a per-project commission basis.

  1. Do I need to speak fluent English?/Do I need to be located in an English-speaking country?

Nope - our team is proudly global.

  1. Are there incentives for working for Psych2Go?

You will be making a positive impact on millions of viewers and possibly even get to see feel-good comments on your work.

Being a freelancer with a per-project contract means that you can also step down from the position whenever you would need to (although we hope you’ll be able to stay!).

Also, working from home means you get to choose your own hours! We’re very flexible and understanding with animators for life situations and personal matters that get in the way of work, so as long as things are communicated to us properly, we’ve always got your back.

  1. Do I need a portfolio?

We would highly prefer that you have one on hand - it makes the recruitment process a lot faster.

If not, we can try to find other evaluation methods. Please at least provide 1 sample of your art if you do not have a portfolio.

  1. I don’t have any experience or skill, but I’m willing to learn. Should I still apply?

You do not need previous work experience in animating. However, some degree of animation and art knowledge is still needed to fulfill the basic requirements of the role.

While we are constantly training our currently on boarded animators to keep them sharp and improving and very much willing to mentor eager applicants, complete newcomers to digital art will likely have a low chance of being accepted.

  1. Do I need my own animation software? Is there a mandatory software requirement?

We do not separately provide animators with software licenses. As such, there is no mandatory requirement - please use whatever method helps you make the most beautiful animations.

Note that as part of the process of making animations, we will be asking for intermittent WIPs. As such, make sure your workflow leaves room for being capable of rendering before the final product is finished.

  1. Can I apply and remain anonymous/use an alias?

If you make videos for us, you will be credited with whatever you prefer being called, including any possible username or alias.

However, due to legal reasons, you must provide your legal name and other identifying information to us before taking on a paid project. This information will never be made public or shared with anyone outside of Psych2Go management.

  1. Did you receive my application?

If you have submitted it to one of the above channels, then yes. If you have not received a response back yet, it is likely that we have passed on your application for this recruitment cycle.

  1. If I am selected, what can I expect from the process?

Typically the entire process of recruitment takes around 3 weeks or so.

If you are selected, you will get to work with us on a trial project (fully paid!) where you can see how much we fit your professional needs. This entails a system where you will be consistently communicating with a recruiter and offering WIP videos for feedback so that your work can be featured on our channel. If all goes well, that will be your first of many videos that will come to comprise Psych2Go’s body of work!

STAGE 1: We will screen all applicants based on the answers to the application form.
STAGE 2: Sample animation will be assigned (non-paid).
STAGE 3: Trial animation will be assigned (paid).

  1. Who do I email if I have questions about the role?

Subtle Signs Someone Is Being Bullied

Bullying comes in all forms and ways, there's no right or wrong, even
amazing qualities could be used as a ploy to make you feel inferior.
Bullies don't have a criteria when it comes to people’s self worth, they
have a constant need to put others down. So it doesn't matter what you
do, who you are, where you come from, what you say or have. It will
never be your fault and there’s nothing you can change in yourself in
order to be good enough for them, their standards are unachievable.
Signs of abuse can be noticeable even in the early stages of oppression,
so carry on if you want to know what they are.

Isolation

While facing difficulties with bullies a person who has their emotional,
physical or mental integrity put in risk will commonly begin to isolate
themselves from other people like spending more time alone in their
room, not hanging out with their friends or simply having lunch on their
own. It works like a self defense mechanism, an attempt to prevent any
kind of social embarrassment from happening.

Low Self Esteem
Dealing with a bully can make you self doubt yourself frequently, guiding
you to thinking that you are who they are trying to paint you as.
Afterwards comes low self esteem and the belief that in fact, you
deserve what's being served to you as it's OK being hated on because
you aren't worthy of anything rather than repugnance.

Fear
In frightening circumstances like having to be around the person who is
your oppressor, as human beings it is easy to feel trapped and like you
need to escape from that moment. Although when it’s not possible some
behaviors can indicate it.

They are: looking down or giving blank stares, a shaky body or trembling
voice, slightly raised eyebrows, half open mouth, bad posture (slouchy
body language provenient from muscle tension) and a tout brow.

Personality Or Look Change
In a desperate attempt of pleasing their intimidator they oftentimes
change the way they present themselves to the world. In order to
somehow get a little respect or bond with their bully, which results in
instant frustration considering that it doesn’t matter how hard they try it
will never be enough in their oppressor eyes.

Anger
It’s never easy having your worth as an individual neglected and
ridiculed, consequently victims of bullying will react in several
contrasting ways, one specially is anger! They can become more
aggressive in their tone or actions without having a coherent reason to do
it so, as if even simple daily tasks were irritating and would put them in a
bad mood.

Self Harm
Not everyone has the ability to express themselves clearly or just aren't
in an environment where they feel they can open up and talk about their
problems safely, forcing them to hide and suppress their feelings as some
sort of emotional boundary.
The point is that as they don’t have an escape valve for everything they
keep on the inside it usually tends to come out as a mental breakdown,
which sometimes can lead to a physical breakdown that not only can
end up with them cutting an specific part of their body but also refusing
to eat their favorite meal for example or not going to that place they’ve
always loved so much.
It’s important for us to keep in mind that not every self harm is physical
and/or visible and that not all of them happen for the same reasons.
