The 12 Disturbing Sleep Disorders
2. Sleepwalking
This is by far, one of the more well-known of the parasomnias, and is characterized by the individual getting up and walking around while in deep sleep, and more often than not, having no recollection of getting out of bed. In pop culture, this is the most commonly portrayed parasomnia (Myers, n.d.). Most of the time, it’s not dangerous, so long as the person usually doesn’t travel such long distances (Pappas, 2011). But, it can be a danger to the person if for example: he unknowingly goes out of his house asleep!
