4. Nocturnal Eating Disorder

This is another interesting parasomnia, as it is characterized by people eating while they are sleeping! The people who suffer from this go on eating binges at night; only to wake the next morning without any recollection of the little midnight snack (Pappas, 2011). It’s harmless, to a certain extent, if the person would just peel a banana and eat it, or for some people, eat a stick of raw butter (Pappas, 2011). But sometimes it gets dangerous, as some might even attempt to cook the food even when asleep!
