The Cube: This Test Will Reveal Your Dominant Personality Traits

Studies in psychology suggest that no two persons in the world would have the exact same personality. A personality is what we use to describe a person’s behavior. Behaviors may be introverted or extroverted, and personality tests were devised to collect principal data about a person’s observable behavior.

The first personality tests appeared in 1920s and were intended to aid in personnel selection, particularly in the military. Ever since, a number of personality tests were developed optimized for different purposes. Also, taking a personality test is quite fun as it helps us learn more about ourselves and others.

Take out a piece of paper and pen to write down the answers for the questions. You can also use your laptop or phone to joint them down. Remember not to think too much and just go with the first answer that pops up in your head.

The Test

Please follow the following instructions chronologically. Try to be as honest as you can.

  1. Think of an open field. Imagine a field. Describe the first vision you had, how big is this field?
  2. Think of a cube. Put a cube in the middle of your field. How big is the cube? Describe the surface of the cube.
  3. Think of a ladder. How long is this ladder? Where is this located in your field?
  4. Think of a horse. What color is the horse? What is the horse doing? Where is the horse in relation to your cube?
  5. Think of flowers. Where are the flowers in your field, and how many?
  6. Think of a weather condition. Is it raining? Sunny? Is your field foggy? Or perhaps there’s a storm going on.
  7. Re-imagine the entire scenario. Make sure that the image in your head is clear.

  1. So some of this was spot on, some of this was way off and some was inbetween. overall it was interesting. I think the best part was the horse… that was more accurate than any other question lol!! I picked a red horse, I con’t tell you why, but I did and the results accurately told me that my ideal partner would be unique and weird! I can’t abide by anything less!!

  2. I am pessimistic, and I wonder why it always show that I am optimistic but the rest are truly me

    1. you may have more faith in yourself and other side than you think 🙂

    1. Well they said the size of your cube represents your ego so it means you have a small ego.

  3. It’s just the horse that makes it partly untrue. But all in all, it was very psychological and theory-based. Good enough. 🙂

  4. I don’t desire more children nor a partner. I desire to be respected for whom and what I want W/O critics opinions. If ones don’t like how I perceive life they don’t have to involve themselves within my Life. I’m not taking any BS IN 2018 NOR IN YEARS TO COME. DISTANCING MYSELF IS GOOD!

  5. Maybe my mind works in a very literal sense. Who can say what our influences are and how much age and experience play in these quizzes. At my core I’m an artist so when someone say imagine this _______ my mind usually goes right to exact examples of what you’re asking. When you say open field, my jumps right into beautiful massive shots of green grassy fields from movies like Highlander and Lord of The Rings.

When you say imagine a cube the first thing to pop in my mind was a Rubik’s Cube or the puzzle box from Hellraiser. When you say imagine a ladder, my mind jumps to the house sized tall ladders I used painting houses during my College years. The weather is nice and the horse looks like Mr. Ed or Bojack Horseman. Its eating the grass and flowers because what else would it would be doing.

The puzzle box is just sitting there and the ladder is just standing there erect. I’m pretty choosey when it comes to sex, politics, religion and finances. I don’t want kids and only have a close handful of good people that I call true friends; yet I imagined a gigantic field of beautiful flowers so my horse could eat with the grass. None of this makes any sense to me.

I file this in the same pseudo science category as horoscopes, body language reading experts and chakra readings. Goat babble to reinforce what you already believe about yourself while discounting the complex nature of mental illness, education, life experience, winning the where you were born lottery and even access to wealth or status in society. What the hell does a multi colored Rubik’s cube say about my personality? Nothing, besides it was a toy I used to play with as a kid. Some other person who grew up somewhere that didn’t have toy stores, a Home Depot or had to eat horse meat as a source of food would not have the same answers but could have the same personality as I do. That’s not science its BS.

Whomever designed this “test” doesn’t even recognize their own biases. Clue: the part where you go old school and associate the color Black with dominate, unpredictable and dangerous. This person even doubles down by associating so-called good traits with Whiteness and then super imposes those traits over your partner. The underlying racist ideology of that is mind boggling. Associating a color with a personality is not only dangerous but dumb asf for an adult.

    1. Uh, DUH? You underestimate people to the point you think they take all of this seriously, and that people literally take tests to see what type of taco they are (they’re not, they’re humans?). Personality tests aren’t concrete and are hardly ever specific, they’re extremely difficult to define in an individual especially over the internet. No matter where this test is from, and no matter how “credible” the source is, there is no other incentive to taking this test than the pure curiosity of how others may try to perceive us by the colors we chose and the things we imagine when given a scenario. To seek any sort of credibility in this test and be upset with the lack thereof only means you lack the most vital part of a personality: a sense of humor.

  6. Way off on most items…. this may have been more “me” in the past…. but not today.

  7. What if the cube is made of mirrors? like the entire surface is just all mirrors what does that mean lol

  8. Well iconsider my pets as children, so maybe the flower thing is right.

  9. Everything was true, except for the flowers. Although I like children, I don’t want to have any. Also I wish it went into detail about what different color flowers mean. Mine were daffodils snd poppies, specifically.

  10. My ladder, horse, and flowers, in my mind, wasn’t in the same plane as my cube. Welp.

  11. Mine was really spot on, the only thing is that my horse was just standing (as if he was waiting for me) and was pawing the ground

  12. My cube was the original rubiks cube… Its smooth but has gaps between each part so its kinda bumpy?…and its not transparent, has different colors and isnt made of metal or ice…so now what?

  13. What if you pictured your ladder laying on the ground, close to your cube?
