5. IDENTIFY STRESSORS

The inability to feel present can often be attributed to or made worse by, a specific life stressor. For example, I noticed that I tend to get worse around exam season- I do not feel present during fun activities such as meeting up with friends if I know there is something else I should be doing. If said stressor is something that can be tackled with reasonable immediacy, then do that. Even if not, identifying a potential cause is still a massive leap forward.
