6. Genie – The Feral Child

Genie was kept in a basement in California and abused for her entire childhood. She was kept in isolation and grew up without any human models to learn behaviour from. Due to this, she could barely speak, was extremely small for her age and walked with a ‘bunny’ style with her hands out in front of her. Psychologists eventually managed to teach her to speak but she soon recoiled from them as they fought over the best ways to study and care for her.
