7 Types of Male Friends
In our lives, we often go through many ups and downs. In those times, what makes life a little bit better? That’s right, friends. We often meet many people in life but in most times, we are fortunate enough to call some of them our friends. These friends may come from different backgrounds from us, but it is that uniqueness that adds value to our lives. In this article, I will be sharing with you some of the types of male friends we meet.
1. The Older Brother
Many of us may grow up without having an older brother. However, we sometimes have friends that always seem to take care and stand up for us. They often make sure we do not get bullied by others which kind of fits the description of having an older brother. It’s like a “no one can pick on you besides him” kind of friendship, which may be what most of us need growing up. Have you ever had such a friend?
2. The Workout Buddy
Do you have that one dude in your friend group that likes working out a lot? They are really fit and built, and they also encourage friends to exercise. They are quite well-versed in workout routines and enjoy breaking out a good sweat. They are also usually good motivators that help friends who feel lazy to do stuff (Anderberg, 2020).
3. The Popular Guy
Ever had wanted to know someone but had no idea how to get their attention? That’s where the popular guy comes in. If you have a friend that seems popular, you’re rather fortunate. Why? They are great at introducing people to friends because of their natural charisma. Additionally, they also know how to make things comfortable between two parties who are newly acquainted. After all, he is popular for a reason (Anderberg, 2020).
4. The Counsellor
Do you have that one guy friend who seems to always give you the right advice? Whether it comes to relationship or life advice, he just seems to lead you on the right path forward. That being said, he is also one of the best listeners in your friend circles who others also seek advice from. If you have someone like that, treasure them because he is someone every guy needs.
5. The Gamer
Pretty sure we all have that one guy friend who’s a huge gamer. Besides knowing latest gaming news and being a good gamer, they are also quite knowledgeable on the current technologies. Although he spends more time at home, he is also up to date with the newest movies and television shows. So, if you need recommendations, you know who to look for.
6. The Jack of All Trades
Do you have a friend who seems to be great at most things? From having good grades to winning at sports, he just excels at what he does. Despite being talented at many things, he remains a humble and compassionate individual. The friends around him may envy him sometimes but support him because he is a genuine person.
7. The Life of the Party
If you know a guy who loves partying, it’s probably him. He knows all about parties and the hot spots. He’s also able to get your friends into exclusive areas due to his connections. Even when you guys are not at the club, he knows how to make things fun, interesting and entertaining for his friends. When you guys are hanging out at your place, you may even get a noise complaint. Do you know someone like that?
Summary
How many of these types of male friends do you have? Do you know any other types that are not covered in this article? Friends are one of the best things in life. Despite the occasional bickering and disagreements, friends are also the people who accept us for who we are. They encourage us and push us to be better, as much as we do for them. Don’t forget to check in on them once in a while, I’m sure they’ll be happy to hear from you.
