Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences
Logical-mathematical intelligence is the ability to analyse problems logically, and the ablity to carry out mathematical operations and scientific reasoning with ease. In Gardner’s words, it entails the ability to detect patterns, reason deductively, and think logically. This has been the sole focus in the academe before Gardner’s theory came into the educational setting. It’s completely understandable. People working in the field of engineering, accountancy, research, and laboratory science are most likely strong in logical-mathematical intelligence. In the classroom their preferred learning style is dealing with numbers and logic.
