Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences
Musical Intelligence involves skill in the performance and appreciation of musical patterns. A logical-mathematical person is able to see patterns and construct logical reasoning while people who possess musical intelligence often can apply the skill in a musical sense. They are able to play with the pitches, tones, and rhythms of various instruments. According to Gardner, musical intelligence runs in an almost structural parallel to linguistic intelligence! It’s safe to say that legendary musicians like Mozart and Schubert, as well as our greatest pop icons like Freddie Mercury and Aretha Franklin are among the people who have strong musical intelligence. Their best method of learning is auditory, and anything that is associated with sound they are most likely going to remember it!
