Finally, we asked any advice they have for potential or current students of psychology.
Us: What advice would you give to aspiring psych2go students?
GT: The advice I would give would be to remain steadfast. Don’t lose your focus, and keep your eye on the prize. Don’t give up when it gets too hard. The classes might get challenging, but if you are passionate about psychology and are determined to make a career from it, I know you will overcome any and all difficulties you encounter.
Us: Whats one thing a student should know about studying psychology?
GT: Something a student should know about studying psychology is that it can be a lot of work. You will probably write a lot of papers, and they will always be in APA format. Also, a student pursuing psychology should be open-minded. You will learn that a lot of people think very differently from them, and they will have different opinions about things. Even if you don’t agree with them, you should still respect their viewpoint. It will better help you understand how others think.
Us: And whats one thing a student should know about studying at University?
GT: If a student studies psychology at a university, it will probably be a rather challenging subject, but with determination and concentration, you should do an excellent job. 🙂
Us: What advice would you give to aspiring psych2go students?
AC: Its nice to study from a book but don’t ever confine yourself to only the book. Explore the web and if possible look up those experiments on YouTube because this will help a lot. Also, try learning holistically.
Us: Whats one thing a student should know about studying psychology?
AC: Yep. Just because you study psychology it doesn’t mean you are supposed to evaluate the people you know and also NEVER psychoanalyse anyone without their permission.
Us: Do you regret choosing psychology? If so, why, if not, why not?
AC: No I don’t regret choosing psychology because I really really like the class and also its everything I could want from a class. We get to conduct our own experiments and do presentations and that is amazing.
Tune in next week for our next article! Remember, get in touch if you have any questions you want asking!
