Position: Talent Acquisition Specialist (Recruiter)

Job Summary:


The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and securing top talent who align with our company’s mission and values. This role is crucial as it directly impacts the individuals who become part of our team—people who will shape the future of mental health resources through engaging content, innovative products, and community-driven events. Your expertise will ensure that every new team member embodies our commitment to making a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

•   Talent Sourcing: Utilize various online platforms and networks to identify potential candidates. This includes leveraging social media, job boards, and niche recruiting platforms.
•   Screening & Selection: Develop and implement a comprehensive screening process to evaluate candidates’ cultural fit, skills, and availability. Ensure that the selection process is aligned with Psych2Go’s values and operational needs.
•   Remote Work Management: Effectively manage your own work schedule, setting and reporting daily objectives and accomplishments. Ensure timely communication and collaboration with the team.
•   Understanding Key Roles: Possess a strong understanding of what makes an excellent scriptwriter, voiceover artist, and animator for YouTube. This knowledge will guide your evaluation of candidates for these critical roles.
•   Innovative Product & Service Development: Identify areas in our animation, content, voiceovers, or scripts that could be improved and propose plans for hiring new talents to address these needs. Innovate and contribute to the development of new products and services that align with Psych2Go’s mission.
•   Business Development: Have some knowledge of business development and the ability to build and support a team around new initiatives. Work closely with other departments to ensure the growth and sustainability of new projects.
•   Talent Monitoring & Coaching: Frequently monitor new talents, providing ongoing support and coaching to help them integrate into the team and reach their full potential.
•   Motivating & Empowering: Inspire, motivate, and empower new recruits. Communicate in a way that aligns with the company’s values, showing care, empathy, intelligence, and a touch of humor to create a positive and supportive work environment.
•   Company Insight: Research and analyze Psych2Go’s existing content and operations to identify three or four areas where talent acquisition can enhance the team’s capabilities and drive improvement.
•   Experience in Creative Roles: Ideally, you have experience in animation, voiceover work, or scriptwriting, enabling you to empathize with the challenges of these roles and make informed hiring decisions.
•   Succession Planning: Prepare for the continuity of the recruitment function by developing a plan to successfully onboard your replacement should the need arise.

•   Identifying Key Qualities: Recognize and articulate three additional key qualities that make a great recruiter for a company like Psych2Go.

Qualifications:

•   Experience: 2-3 years of experience in online recruiting, with a proven track record of sourcing and hiring top talent across various platforms.
•   Technical Skills: Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for recruiting, screening, and managing candidates.
•   Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the unique demands of the content creation industry, particularly related to YouTube and digital media.

Be prompt at following up with applicants. No later than 2 days of replying back to applicant, especially if the applicant has submitted a qualified sample. 

•   Cultural Fit: Strong alignment with Psych2Go’s mission and a passion for contributing to the mental health resource industry.

Be able to devise tests to qualify applicants on the spot, without relying too much on the existing recruiting templates.
