5 Ways to Avoid Your Attacker

  1. Give Attitude

Any abuser enjoys power and being the dominant person in a group. This is why an ex-rapist is more likely to approach you when you are feeling down or lost. Your confusion makes it easier for an ex-rapist to assume a dominant position. When people are down or lost, their brains tend to be scattered. They typically aren’t watching for people, rather their own state of mind or the location they are in. Overcome this appearance by giving attitude. Don’t feel guilty about this. First of all, this person hurt you. This person does not deserve your kindness. Secondly, it is for your own protection. Just roll your shoulders back, refuse to look at the person, and if you are required to look at the person, squint your eyes a little and stare at them directly in the eyes. Do not tilt your head down.
