Sometimes, don’t you just wish that love potions exist?
You’ll just have to get your crush to drink them – and voila! Now they’re interested.
Unfortunately, the world doesn’t work like that.
Here, when your crush doesn’t notice you, you have no choice but to step up your game or give up (and if you’re here, you’re obviously not giving up. Go, you!).
So, what exactly can you do to make them feel attracted?
Down below are 7 doable tips for you to bring your A game. It may help a lot, so let’s begin!
FRIENDLY DISCLAIMER: This video is for educational purposes and is based on personal tips. It is not a substitute for professional advice, but rather made for general guidance. We advise you to always listen to your intuition as you know what is best for you.
1. Be an active presence in their life.
In other words: be unforgettable!
Once they’ve registered you as a familiar face, they will likely be more warm and open towards you.
Being an active presence in their life doesn’t mean stalking them – but let’s admit it, we’ve all been there.
It means involving yourself in the things they like doing.
For example, if you’re at school and they’re part of the guitar club, it’s time to write your name on that sign-up sheet and dust off your acoustic instrument at home.
If you’re at work, perhaps you can collaborate with them on a project or maybe even go to cafes together while doing your tasks (given that your work is online).
However, being an active part of their life doesn’t entail sacrificing your whole self and hobbies to spend the most time with them.
It’s also important to maintain a healthy degree of distance and independence for your own sake.
It also wouldn’t hurt to seem a little mysterious. It’s exciting!
So the gist is: know when to involve yourself, and know when to pull back.
2. Always make them feel included.
Don’t you appreciate that one person who keeps listening to you even if no one else is?
Chances are, your crush appreciates it when you do that, too!
Being left out sucks, so simple acts like reserving a chair for your crush, asking for their opinion, and inviting them to group get-togethers will likely be received with gratitude.
Your kindness will go a long way. They will remember you, pay more attention to what you’re doing, and maybe even return the favor!
3. Be a part of their friend group.
Did you know that nearly 70 percent of romances may begin as friendships?
Yes, so as much as you’re afraid of being put in the friend zone, being their friend can also give you great benefits.
You can spend more time with them, talk about deep topics, and gain their trust.
Also, when you have a crush on someone, their friends are your allies.
They’re probably the people your crush listens to the most, so if they have a good impression of you, chances are your crush will, too.
However, despite these advantages, it’s important to remember that you really don’t have to force yourself to fit in their group, especially if you’re having a hard time doing so.
It’s not encouraged to change a part of yourself or hide a certain aspect of your personality just to please them.
Instead, try working with what you’ve got, which are your strengths. It’s always better for them to like you the way you are, and not as someone you created.
4. Find mutual interests.
What do you like that your crush also likes?
Do you have anything in common?
If you can’t think of anything, it’s probably a sign that you should take more opportunities to talk to them.
Knowing what they’re interested in can really help, and having a mutual interest makes it even better.
There is a lot to learn about your crush and their passions, and mutually appreciating something basically gives you a free pass to be a part of their world.
It gives you something to bond about, and now, whenever they think about that special something, they may think of you, too.
5. Make eye contact and smile.
Did you know that 3-7 seconds of eye contact can signal interest or attraction?
This doesn’t mean you have to carry a timer around with you in case you see your crush. Rather, it’s an encouragement to not be afraid of getting their attention.
Smiling makes you more attractive, and it can definitely make you seem more approachable!
Smiling and holding eye contact not only increases your chances of attraction with your crush but also with everyone around you!
Don’t be afraid of spreading out that positive energy! It may seem daunting at first, but with practice, you’ll surely get the hang of it.
6. Show them that you’re truly interested.
It is very intimidating to make the first move, so if you currently don’t want to ask them out or confess, you can try expressing your interest in different ways.
For starters, when they’re with you, you can put your phone away or set it on silent mode.
That may make them feel special, especially with how a lot of people are quite attached to their phones nowadays.
You can also follow up by asking them questions and listening well by not interrupting.
If you’re not sure what to bring up, you can always start with your mutual interests and work from there.
Of course, too many questions may make them feel like they’re in an interrogation, so don’t be afraid of sharing stuff about yourself, too.
At times, you may feel like you want to speed up the process by playing mind games.
This is not encouraged.
Things like silent treatments or sending mixed messages may end up causing great confusion for both you and your crush.
Relationships, in any form, shouldn’t feel forced. It’s nice to do what you can, but there should be limits as a way of self-care and not going too far.
7. Dress up while showing your personal style.
How much thought do you put into what you wear?
In 2012, researchers from Northwestern University in the US found that wearing specific articles of clothing had an effect on the wearer’s psychology and performance (DW, 2019).
And not only does it improve the way you feel, it also enhances the way other people see you.
Don’t you like it when your crush wears a certain piece of clothing or style?
That may also be what they feel when they see you wearing what empowers you.
Clothes have a certain ability. Wearing well-fitting clothes, especially ones that match the vibe you want to put out to the world, contributes to self-acceptance and self-esteem.
Fashion is for everyone. It’s not only for celebrities, influencers, or the rich.
It’s for you to enjoy. So try to take a moment to decide what you want to wear every day.
Which outfits make you feel most attractive? Fill your closet with them, and don’t be afraid to play around with different styles.
Because it’s when you’re confident that your crush will most likely gravitate toward you.
Hope this helped!
