Easy Tips to Attract Your Crush

Spring is in the air, and it’s the perfect season to fall in love. It is the season of rebirths and new beginnings. There is a certain romanticism to the novelty that happens during the spring –birds are singing; flowers are blossoming. These sensorial cues trigger an increase in dopamine, which pushes us to fall in love.

Some couples hit it off in the springtime, but others don’t. So, how do you attract your crush?

  • Make a good first impression.

The first tip to attract your crush is to make a good impression. Making a good first impression is necessary if you want to create a long lasting relationship–romantic or otherwise.

However, our instinct to trust initial judgments was not initially part of socializing ettique. It’s a vestige of ancestral thinking when survival depended on our ability to make snap judgments of environments or people. It takes us seconds to surveil our surroundings and make a quick judgment.

Princeton psychologists Janine Willis and Alexander Todorov revealed in a series of experiments that humans pass judgment within a tenth of a second. That is why making a good first impression is incredibly important.

To make a good first impression, be confident by making and sustaining eye contact. Maintain a gaze that lets them know that you are paying attention. It is also a form of flirting to be cautious.

Another way to make a good first impression is to dress well. You do not have to wear expensive brands, just keep a tidy appearance.

  • Be confident

One way to attract your crush is with confidence. Confidence is an attractive trait because it makes other people believe in you. You appear dependable and competent– traits some people like in a prospective partner.

Whenever you are feeling insecure, remind yourself of your worth. Use clothes as armour and dress yourself up.

  • Listen

Having someone who listens to you is sexy. It means that they are paying attention and value what you have to say. If you want to attract your crush, listen. Show interest in their thoughts and ideas.

Listening to someone is more than hearing what they are saying. It requires you to be present and to be empathetic. When you are listening, do your best to actively pay attention. One way to demonstrate that you are listening is by mirroring or asking them something related o what they said.

  • Be authentic.

The best way to attract your crush is by being yourself. Be honest and authentic.

Typical teen movies show the main character completely transform themselves for their crush. They pick up their crush’s hobbies and interests only to disappoint everyone. Hence, be yourself. It’s the safest bet to establish a good relationship.

So, don’t be afraid to share your interest and goals with your crush. It makes you relatable, and who knows, you both might have a few things in common.

  • Be there for them

Another way to attract your crush is by being for them. Being for them establishes emotional intimacy. But, only establish emotional intimacy if you honestly care. There is nothing worse than good deeds provoked by ulterior motives.

  • Avoid talking about your past relationships.

The last tip to attract your crush is to avoid talking about your past relationships. It’s okay to talk about them if they come up, but don’t lead a conversation talking about your ex. Subconsciously, it can make your crush feel as if you are comparing them.

There is no formula for how to attract your crush. Relationships happen organically and slowly, like flowers emerging from the frost. So, be yourself and be honest about your feelings.
