5. You’ll never get a job

Surprisingly, many people who majored in psychology ARE employed currently. I personally have a job in the human resources area. Because we study people, we can work in almost any field. Industrial organizational psychology is extremely beneficial for businesses, because its focus is on increasing employee productivity. There are a multitude of fields that psychology majors currently work in, including social services, teaching, marketing, public relations, and many more. Just because the employment isn’t directly related to psychology (unless you’ve done a masters degree) doesn’t mean we won’t get jobs.
