6. So you can read minds ?

No. We are not The Mentalist, we are not Dr. Cal Lightman from Lie to Me. We study and analyze behaviour and the human mind. That doesn’t give us the magical power to know exactly what you’re thinking. We might be a little better at guessing if something is wrong, or if you’re lying to us, but that’s nowhere near being full on telepathic. Please do not confuse the term “psychic” with “psychologist” even though they do start with the same five letters.

Just because these misconceptions annoy us doesn’t mean we don’t love you! We do, and we still love you taking an interest in a major we are so passionate about (even if some of your beliefs are a little off)!
