  1. I got this correct but not for the reason they stated. I saw her with her feet under her chair more ready to get up and spring into action than the other woman who didn’t seem to be able to get up as quickly.

  2. Hmm… I didn’t realize children played facing their parents. I thought she was the mother because the child was closer to the lady on the right with his back to her meaning he was more comfortable with her. I figured this was the reason the lady on the left had a sour look on her face; the right woman being the child’s stepmother (or something), whom he lived with and was more familiar with her than his biological mother. I’m sure any parent would seem upset if their child was more comfortable with anyone else they called mom or dad. Meanwhile the right lady almost looks uncomfortable, as though she doesn’t quite know what to say in this situation and not trying to make anything worse
That’s just how I interpreted this picture

  3. when asked to look at the two ladies,my eyes looked at the rest of the picture, and the child was more noticeable to me than the ladies and my choice was in fact based on the way he was facing.

  4. I chose the woman on the left because she looked as if she was a mother who was anxious to get up to help the child because he was positioned so close to the other woman. By the left woman’s body language, you could tell her mind was racing and she was stressed. The woman on the right seemed to be too relaxed and was disregarding the child. I didn’t assume that children play while facing their mother/parent, but looking back at the reasons it seems legitimate.

  5. I thought i was the lady on the left. She was sitting with a stern expression, and seemed to be watching the child more intently than the person on the right. The lady on the right I considered, but she was sitting more relaxed, perhaps slightly bored looking. The child was facing away from her, which could symbolize unconscious trust, but it was more likely that the child was facing towards his mother on the left, in case he wanted to show her what he was playing with or doing.

  6. I chose the woman on the left simply because she looks younger than the other one. The woman on the right looks old, like if it was hist grandmother or sometjing like that (or just too old to give birth anyway).

  7. Honestly, I couldn’t decide because they both look malicious to me. The left one is physically more likely to be the kid’s mother, but I don’t like her smile, it looks evil, like she’s ready to kidnap the child and kill the woman on the right.
The one on the right though looks calm; too calm. She looks as if she is a government agent ready to take out the woman on the left and use the child for God knows what.

  8. I was right but for a different reason: I just saw that the woman on the left was dressed somewhat more casually, hair down and with a simple sweater, similar to how a young mother would dress. The woman on the right looks a bit more dressy, as if she has work to be done today.

  9. There is more evidence than the way the child is facing.

    Check the leg positions,
on the right her inner leg is superior, guarding against the child
on the left her outer leg is superior, guarding the child

    head positions,
    right is retracted, not engaged
    left is inward, engaged

    facial expressions,
    right is bored and inattentive
left is locked on the other woman, watching, protecting

    torso positions,
    right is reclined, disengaged
    left is inclined, engaged

The child is merely the clincher. I found this painfully obvious

  10. I chose the woman from right because the child is much closer to her and her feet outside like ready to stand up anytime if her child needs her.
The explanation about my choice is right but the way they explained my choice is kinda off.
