- Existentialism is a branch of philosophical thinking which was made famous philosophical thinkers such as Jean Paul Sartre and Simone De Beauvoir. This mode of thought focuses on the question of existence; why are we here? What.is the purpose of life? What qualifies as a good life? How should I exist and live in the best possible way? Now, if you’ve read my previous articles, you’ll know that philosophy is the science of asking questions with the hope for answers, and only getting answers. That being said, it should come as no surprise that this crisis of life could grow into a full blown depression (Melissa 2010)
