This is like the opposite of insomnia, in that it is characterised by recurrent episodes of excessive daytime fatigue or prolonged sleep during the night. A person suffering from hypersomnia may feel compelled to nap repeatedly during the day, usually providing no relief for their tiredness and can lead to disorientation after sleep ((2008), Young Scientist Symposium.
